Another Tuesday

The clients selling the most recent property I’m getting ready to market messaged to let me know that they had just saged the house in case I wondered what the smell was. I thought it smelled fabulous and it made me feel happy. 

I have to stage both sides of it tomorrow- it is a duplex and is vacant (my fave- easy to stage and show). Both sides have equally creepy bedrooms in the attic and a rare dark basement (basements are not common out this way). One of the attic bedrooms has one of those long deep closets with a pencil sharpener on the wall and shelves which of course makes me think a Flowers in the Attic situation has happened here. 

Later I took Ivy for a bra fitting and wrote out some Valentine’s cards (I am determined to be a better friend this year and beyond) in a big comfy chair while the sales person took care of everything and that was super nice.

Long story short: I believed something to be true from the inside out top down 100% - when I’m in I am ALL IN. That belief was in charge of all of my decisions, policed my desires, shamed my inadequacies and my dreams, and wrote a future without my input. Actually the whole point of being all in on that faith was to be the best at not considering your own input because that was worldly and “of man” and not “of God” and so all those gut instincts you had that went against what you were told to do or what was being done to you? Yeah. No wonder I had stomach issues and mental illness at such an early age. But we prayed for that to be healed and it never went away but I got really good at pretending to be okay. Is it okay if I ask you to not look directly into my light right now. Don't get so close that you see too much, get distracted by the little details, a whisker, a dark circle, the unfinished parts of me. May I keep those for myself while I reveal my truth with you? It all comes out eventually, in time. And can it be on my terms.  Is it okay if I ask you to pay attention to where my light is shining? Stay in the glow, feel its warmth, and resist the temptation to look the sun right in the eyes.  Sometimes I wonder if people think about me and think, she never finishes what she starts . Is this what I think about me? Maybe I'm not a fan of things ending. The tidying of loose ends, so boring, so final. The energy that will take. Maybe I'm still learning how.
